Bora Bora Lagoon Resort is located on a motu island fringing the lagoon on the west side of the main island. The main reception and restaurant sits on a point, flanked either side by lovely stretch of white sand. The island is adequately high giving the opportunity to walk to summits for breathtaking sunset views and there's a large swimming pool and tennis courts. Water enthusiasts will enjoy the large array of activities including wind-surfing, sailing, deep sea fishing and water-skiing.

Although close to the busy beach of Matira, the lagoon here is so shallow that boats are unable to pass through. The resort has a gorgeous fine white sand beach, excellent sandy bottom swimming (all tide) and features some of the most picturesque overwater bungalows in Tahiti, sitting in a tantalizing turquoise lagoon undisturbed by motorized water sports.
The Intercontinental Hotel Moorea is a large international style resort set on 2 acres of landscaped gardens backed by mountains on the north coast of Moorea. The resort boasts a lovely beach, excellent swimming lagoon, Helene Spa, Kids Club, lots of partially overwater bungalows and the fantastic Dolphin Centre where guests can learn about and swim with dolphins. There's also a large Lagoonarium for snorkelling and a turtle sanctuary.
Intercontinental Tahiti is a delightful oceanfront resort on the west coast of Tahiti with the nicest overwater bungalows on the main island and several pleasant artificial beach settings and lagoonarium. The large reception area offers a balcony with sweeping views over the ocean and towards Moorea. There's one huge swimming pool in front of the hotel and another smaller pool fronting the ocean. The hotel boasts one of the best Polynesian dance performances in French Polynesia.
Le Maitai Polynesia offers excellent value for money on the main island of Bora Bora and makes a great base for enjoying the many excursions around the island and lagoon. The property is located on the southern end of Bora about ten minutes walk to Matira Beach with the coastal road bisecting the property. The main reception, main restaurant and Garden and Ocean View Rooms are located on the mountain side of the road.
Le Meridien Tahiti is set mid way along the west coast of Tahiti near the islands nicest natural beach, although swimming directly infront of the resort is not advisable. With an imposing main reception and stunning mountain views, this is a classical style resort featuring the largest sand pool in French Polynesia.
Bora Bora Pearl Resort is located on a private island within Bora Lagoon. The resort features a grand reception and dining area with splendid views across the lagoon to the main island of Bora Bora and its impressive mountains. The main beach is pleasant with white sand and palm trees and the Manea Spa adds a tropical flavour. The spacious beach and garden bungalows rank amongst the best found in French Polynesia. Great for honeymoons.
Pearl Resort Moorea is located in a delightful setting on a small beach on the north coast of Moorea, backed by mountains and offering exceptionally presented bungalows and rooms. The Polynesian style reception leads down to an infinity swimming pool backing right onto the ocean. Water sports are plenty, there's a small Spa and Polynesian floor shows and overall makes a luxury base for enjoying Moorea.
Pension Kuiri Village is one of those delightful properties where you can really escape the modern world. set on the uncommercial but stunning lagoon island of Maupiti, this guesthouse has simple hand crafted bungalows, good dining, tranquil beaches, excellent snorkelling and some great sightseeing excursions into villages and around the pretty lagoon.

Sofitel Beach Resort is located on a lovely beach on the southern side of the main island of Bora. The small but well appointed beachfront bungalows sit right on the beach whilst garden bungalows hide amongst palm groves. There's lots of water activities on offer from jet boat rides to catamaran sailing. This is one of the cheaper upmarket resorts on Bora Bora making it a good choioce for money-conscious holiday-makers.
The Sofitel Hotel Tahiti offers modern comfortable rooms alongside a small beach close to the international airport. The uninspiring 60's style hotel facade with its eight storey cement building still exists but interior finishing and a mix of contemporary art and bright Polynesia colours make this a pleasant and affordable stopover.
Sofitel Motu is set on a private island facing Matira Beach in the southern lagoon of Bora Bora, with a small sandy beach at its point. This small upmarket resort, one of the few boutique hotels in French Polynesia, offers an exceptional quality of service and an extremely intimate atmosphere. Guests have access to use the facilities and watersports of the sister Sofitel Beach Resort on the main island (courtesy boat shuttle takes less than 5 minutes). Otherwise, its all peace and quiet here.
Sofitel Resort Moorea is a large resort on the quiet north east coast of Moorea close to the airport. Set on a sweeping beach with adequately deep lagoon, backed by steep mountains and with a beautiful outlook facing Tahiti Island. There are two restaurants, one in landscaped gardens overlooking a lilly-filled pond, the other directly over the waters edge.
Tahaa Private Island Resort is without doubt the most exquisite resort in French Polynesia, though a price tag to match. Set on a private motu island on the remote north west lagoon of Tahaa facing the island of Bora Bora, this up-market resort offers fine detail in every aspect.
The Tahiti Airport Motel is within walking distance of the airport terminal and is the most convenient stopover for the late night and early morning flights. Temanuata Beach Bungalows is one of the few budget style accommodations in Bora Bora. This pleasant beach property is located a few minutes stroll to popular Matira Beach and offers great value for money for those not looking for the trims of resort living. The property fronts a narrow south facing beach (no sun in early morning or late afternoon) protected by a sea wall. The landscaped gardens are split by a garden path, with a line of 5 bungalows either side extending from the coastal road to the beach.
