Sofitel Bora Island Resort French Polynesia is set on a private island facing Matira Beach in the southern lagoon of Bora Bora, with a small sandy beach at its point. This small upmarket resort, one of the few boutique hotels in French Polynesia, offers an exceptional quality of service and an extremely intimate atmosphere. Guests have access to use the facilities and watersports of the sister Sofitel Beach Resort on the main island (courtesy boat shuttle takes less than 5 minutes). Otherwise, its all peace and quiet here.

Resort Information
The Deluxe Bungalows are built high up on stilts in a wooded hillside offering great views overlooking the ocean or on the lagoon (note cobbled stone pathways and steep hills may be impractical for some guests). Twenty Overwater Bungalows have unobstructed ocean views looking back to the magnificent mountain landscape of Bora Bora
The impressive central restaurant serves exquisite food with each table overlooking the lagoon and the mountains of Bora. There's a picturesque but small sandy point for beach lovers and the island has steep hills with walking tracks.
